Waterfalls
Some examples of waterfalls
According to the World Waterfall Database, 10 of the 30 tallest waterfalls in the world are in Norway. Some of them drop hundreds of meters straight into a fjord, while others reside in rivers. Waterfalls are definitely an integral part of the variation in the Norwegian landscape.
Several of the most scenic waterfalls are located in the south-western parts of Norway. The best time to shoot them will be in May, June and July, when the ice and snow from the mountains is melting and the water levels are at their highest.
If you plan to shoot next to a big waterfall we recommend shooting late in the season when the water levels are low and the spray is less challenging.
